Pioneering Brazilian Tropicália rockers Os Mutantes (born: 1966) are bringing their excellence to Brooklyn Bowl, baby.

Foundational hip hop crew The Roots are playing Central Park SummerStage with Jungle Brothers and Digable Planets. This should rule. It's what they do.

The Folk Implosion (Lou Barlow and John Davis) are playing their first NYC show in circa forever (before Oh My Rockness' time anyway... and we're 20!) at TV Eye this July. This reunion is extremely welcomed and seems like a natural one.

The annual outdoor queer music festival/pride party LadyLand is happening this June at Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn. See the lineup!

Excellent early '10s Brooklyn band The Babies (ft. Kevin Morby + Cassie Ramone of Vivian Girls) are playing their first NYC show in 11 years at Warsaw this September. Reunited and it feels so goo-goo-ga-ga-good!

Smooth bilingual L.A. indie popsters The Marías have a date at Radio City Music Hall with solid support from melodic L.A. post punks (and Oh My Rockness faves) Automatic.

The great Angel Olsen is doing some solo shows and all the good times will be had.

L.A. alt rockers Silversun Pickups are playing Brooklyn Steel this summer and I've been waiting,
I've been waiting for this moment all my life.

Solid Louisville scuzz sluggers White Reaper are headlining Elsewhere in June with support from Spiritual Cramp and Smirk. Might be right to go to this one.

A big time comedy jam is going down in Central Park this summer with David Cross and his pals Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Silverman, Fred Armisen and more funny friends and special guests to be announced when they feel like it.

Critically acclaimed Canadian hypnagogic drag pop superstar Cindy Lee (aka Patrick Flegel, formerly of the band Women) is bringing their divine lo-fi goodness to Baby's All Right in May.
