MONDAY: Speaking of DFA (no relation), Canadian dance punk vets Death From Above 1979 are set to play their first NYC show in 4 years at Music Hall of Williamsburg. This duo will always remind us of a can of Sparks.
TUESDAY: The mighty Ty Segall rocks a solo/acoustic jam in Brooklyn. Get psyched.
TUESDAY: After playing SNL this past weekend, the recently reunited Black Star (yasiin bey & Talib Kweli) are doing an intimate show at Sony Hall and some tickets are still available. Definition of a good show.
TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY: Stellar songwriter/rocker Bartees Strange headlines Elsewhere and Bowery Ballroom and you should totally go. Missing it will give you a heavy heart/make you feel wretched.

FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY: The Smile play their first ever (!) NYC shows at Kings Theatre and Hammerstein Ballroom this week. Just so there are no surprises, this band features Thom Yorke + Jonny Greenwood of another band called Radiohead. Fitter. Happier.
