Ian Davis: Rock Band is an outlet for composer/guitarist Ian Davis. The music is part carefully constructed, part free; sections of intricate synthesizer and guitar counterpoint devolve into playful, noodley noise. The band is made up of Jason Burger, Michael Coleman, Julian Cubillos, Dandy McDowell, and Renata Zeiguer. Passing Phase is the group's first full-length release. It came together slowly over several years.
