Founded by brothers Jad & David Fair in 1975, Half Japanese is credited with pioneering the DIY and lo-fi movements and count among their biggest fans Sonic Youth, Daniel Johnston, Penn Jillette, Jello Biafra, Yo La Tengo, and Kurt Cobain. Cobain ranked Half Japanese amongst his favorite band and had them open during the "In Utero" tour.

Over the ensuing four and a half decades, Half Japanese have released a steady stream of acclaimed albums, including this year's 'Invincible,' and continue to attracted fans passionate about the band's pure, unbridled enthusiasm for rock and roll.

Tonight Jad and the band are joined by alumni members Mark Jickling, Don Fleming and John Moreman to celebrate this month's Record Store Day release of their 'Charmed Life' album on blue vinyl. The album, first released in 1988, earned some of the strongest reviews of Half Japanese's career. Don't miss this rare NYC appearance of Half Japanese.
