20 Good Shows To See in NYC This Week
May 22 - May 28 / 2017 A.D.
1. Hinds play a free show at Music Hall of Williamsburg on Monday, May 22nd.
Spanish sunshine popsters Hinds traveled all the way from Madrid to play this free show for you.
You should see if the RSVP is still open. (I don't know. I just blob here.)
Good news! If you get shut out of this good free summer show there're approximately 157 more to choose from.
2. Animal Collective play Brooklyn Steel on Tuesday, May 23rd.
Just another 100% chill band playing Brooklyn Steel this month.
NO. BIG. DEAL.
This show is sold-out because Animal Collective are huge but you can try getting tickets here if you want.
3. The Afghan Whigs play the Apollo Theater on Tuesday, May 23rd (tickets).
This band rules.
Before you decide if this dope Afghan Whigs show is the right dope show for you, check out this live version of "Debonair" the band did on Conan circa 1993 A.D.
I think you'll know what to do.
4. Whitney play Brooklyn Steel on Wednesday, May 24th.
RIYL: Smith Westerns / Unknown Mortal Orchestra / Secretly Canadian / Chicago / Pizza
5. Pixies play Webster Hall on Wednesday, May 24th / Brooklyn Steel on Thursday, May 25th and Friday, May 26th.
Who?
Just kidding.
Here comes your band!
(sold-out? try getting tickets here)
6. Com Truise plays Warsaw on Thursday, May 25th (tickets).
Been loving this dude's jams since 2011 A.D.
This is still my favorite Com Truise song.
I ❤️ it.
7. Alabama Shakes play Bowery Ballroom on Friday, May 26th.
This big time $50 Alabama Shakes show at little old Bowery Ballroom sold-out in a real hurry.
If you weren't fast enough convincing your computer that you're not a robot you can try looking for ticket$ here.
Good luck.
8. Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds play Kings Theatre on Friday, May 26th / Saturday, May 27th.
If these two Nick Cave shows aren't sold-out yet they will be soon.
Legit music legends don't come around here every damn day.

It's also dope as hell.
Go to this show at Silent Barn if you like the beats / flow (with Aye Nako).
