1. Rise Against play a free show at House of Vans on Monday, April 24th

Start your wonderful week with some lovely melodic Chicago* hardcore.

This show will smash up that case of the Mondays you got there, guy.

2. Gorillaz play a free show at Rough Trade on Tuesday, April 25th

Well this is going to be the toughest free ticket in town.

If you want to see Gorillaz play their first NYC show in seven years, here's what you need to do: you need to read this.

I'm not going to explain the ins and outs of how to get into this show here. 2 busy blobbing.

3. The New Pornographers play Terminal 5 on Wednesday, April 26th

Despite the name, I hear this is a very tasteful show. No matter what Raffi may say.

God, I hate it when Raffi and Carl Newman fight.

Waxahatchee opens / Waxahatchee rules.

4. Juliana Hatfield plays Mercury Lounge on Wednesday, April 26th and Thursday, April 27th

Two nights reserved for this forever buzzing Boston indie rocker (w/ Laura Stevenson).

Wednesday's show is sold-out (because Juliana Hatfield rules) but tickets are still available for Thursday.....for now.

5. David Byrne (talk) at BRIC House on Thursday, April 27th

David Byrne of Talking Heads throws around some reasons to be cheerful tonight at BRIC House.

The free tickets are already gone to sit in proper BUT there still might be space available in "the overflow room" if you get there early enough.

Wow. Things are really looking up already.

6. Pinegrove play Bowery Ballroom on Thurday, April 27th (tickets) and Music Hall of Williamsburg on Sunday, April 30th

Pinegrove is a good band. You heard it here fourth.

Hovvdy opens both shows. Vvery excited to see them.

7. Screaming Females play Brooklyn Night Bazaar on Thursday, April 27th (tickets).

Mitski is huge now! This show is totally sold-out.
