Please love reading this original digital feature about some good shows happening in NYC this week.

These recommends won't let you down.

So help me blob.

Monday - July 18, 2016 A.D.

The #1 most saved show on Rockness is tonight in Central Park and you won't BELIEVE who's playing it! Click on the blob to see--- oh nevermind I'll just tell you right here it's The Feelies and Beach Fossils (RIP THE NASTY BITS)

Please note: this show is free. Hope that's OK.

Other notable Monday shows = WNYC's trivia/game show “Ask Me Another" at The Bell House with special guest Gillian Jacobs who recently starred in that Netflix show “Love" which I thought was pretty good!

Tuesday - July 19, 2016 A.D.

Toronto electronic ensemble Holy Fuck play their first NYC show in like six years at Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight (and tomorrow at Bowery). Holy ____! Check out the real hot up-and-coming good shit and read this profile I wrote on these maniacs just 9 short years ago.

Iron Chic are absolutely one of the most fun bands you'll see playing the game today. See them grip and rip the popster punkster core at Aviv tonight.

Duran Duran play The Apollo and I still consider this song (time to face facts, it's a JAM) to be “new" Duran Duran even though the year in which I'm currently blobbing in is 2016 A.D.

Also. You can bounce over to Baby's and see Big Freedia for $3 (w/ RSVP) tonight.

Other notable Tuesday shows = Alex Calder at Alphaville + Jeff Rosenstock at Sunnyvale

Wednesday - July 20, 2016 A.D.

Poet rocker writer ARTIST Patti Smith plays a free show in Lincoln Center tonight and I see MANY of you wonderful “My Rockness" users have saved this one. You have good taste in music. Let's totally hang out sometime.

And for more free summer shows check out this very nice list we made for you.

Excuse me, do you like to laugh? Do people still ask that when handing out flyers to their shitty comedy club? Not sure. But anyway, Flight of the Conchords play Forest Hills Stadium tonight. I think Britt I mean Brett is my favorite but Jermaine is pretty chill too. Oh, yeah. This show is sold-out so I hope you already have a ticket or don't care I just want you to be happy.

Sydney's Royal Headache play Music Hall of Williamsburg (and tomorrow at Market Hotel). Please note: this band is the best.

(I know they have more recent big time jams than the one I'm about to post but a classic is a classic is a classic.)

Okkervil River plays National Sawdust and I still think this is one of best live concert reviews (written by frontman Will Sheff) that I ever read. Click that link and read it and then you'll have a new appreciation for the video below (which totally isn't Okkervil River).

Also. Gary Higgins plays Shea Stadium and if you want to listen to a fantastic classic post ____ psych album from the '70s you should listen to this album.

Other notable Wednesday shows = I feel like I gave u plenty of choices already how much goodness do u need, man

BUT IF YOU MUST HAVE MORE YOU MAY NOW SEE ALL OF OUR WEDNESDAY PICKS

Thursday - July 21, 2016 A.D.

Expansive Canadian collective Broken Social Scene (which now feature a whopping _____ members!) play their first NYC show in five years tonight. Is it sold-out? Yeah. It's sold-out. I apologize. I didn't do it. I just blob here. Hope you already got a ticket or don't care! Let's now take it back to 2004 A.D., y'all.

Super dope Texas post ____ punks Radioactivity play Saint Vitus. Greys is also playing this show. They're super dope too. Does this sound like the right show for you tonight? Trust your heart with this one and I think you'll know what to do.

It's Summer Thursdays at MoMA and Potty Mouth is playing. Doesn't that sound like fun? Please note: it will be.

AND BILLY OCEAN PLAYS A FREEEEEEEEE SHOW IN CONEY ISLAND OH HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YES I'M A FAN OF HIS ENTIRE '80s MOVIE CATALOG!

Other notable Thursday shows = Super Furry Animals at Webster Hall + DJ Toro y Moi at Output + Marissa Nadler at Bowery Ballroom

Friday - July 22, 2016 A.D.

Panorama Fest starts today on Randall's Island (thank you for the use your island, Randy!) and a bunch of rising up-and-coming new faces are playing including Arcade Fire (who?) LCD Soundsystem (huh?) Subaru Stevens (I think I've heard of them?) and lots more of today's brightest unknowns.

Please note: I once saw Arcade Fire play Arlene's Grocery in like 2004 or 2005. Please hold your applause for me until the end of this article.

Ty Segall's band GØGGS play Rough Trade (and tomorrow at Baby's All Right) and I highly recommend you go if you feel like getting destroyed.

And Louis C.K. does the old Forest Hills Stadium gig. Please note: “Baskets" (Louie = its co-creator) is a really good show and quite frankly I feel it deserves more of your love. Give an Emmy to Louie Anderson right now. Just give it to him!

Other notable Friday shows = Tyondai Braxton at National Sawdust + Maria Usbeck at Babycastles + “Pulse" Against the Machine at Bowery Ballroom

Saturday - July 23, 2016 A.D.

Panorama Fest….still going on. As a friendly reminder, please leave Randy's island in the condition you found it in. He'd be super bummed to come home and find your shit everywhere.

Guns N' Roses play MetLife Stadium. Tomorrow too. Oh.

P.S.: I started the video to this song when I was in 7th Grade and it's still going.

MoMA PS1's summer Warm Up is today and is always a good time. Please note: I've never been but I've danced there many a time in my mind, man, my miiiiind.

Also. Here's your second reminder to go see GØGGS (this time at Baby's - this time... it's personal) this week and get destroyed.

Other notable Saturday shows = Flosstradamus at Music Hall of Williamsburg + Tokimonsta at Mercury Lounge
