((Tinted Windows)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Tinted Windows are a supergroup. And no, I'm not going to say "of sorts." Ugh! I've spouted on about this before, but it still really burns me up when music writers ALWAYS have to tack on the "of sorts" to any mention of a supergroup. It's like, either they are a supergroup or they're not a supergroup. There is no "of sorts."

But moving on, Tinted Windows are a supergroup of sorts (yoinks!) featuring Taylor Hanson from Hanson (the main singer dude --- the one who wasn't 11), James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins (he who may or may not have been allowed to play a single note on "Siamese Dream"), Adam Schlesinger from Fountains of Wayne (he wrote "That Thing You Do" song, too), and Bun E. Carlos from Cheap Trick (Mommy's alright, daddy's alright, they're just a little weird). Say, whaaaaa? Yeah, that's a lot of famous dudes.

So what do Tinted Windows sound like with all that talent on top of one stage? Polished power pop. And that's all there really is to it. Honestly, I just wanted write this band profile so I could get on my soap box about the "of sorts" thing again. I'm sorry Tinted Windows, I used you.

Please send me links of other articles that use the "of sorts" thing. I might make a collage and then fire spears at it.
