((The Soft Moon)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

San Francisco's The Soft Moon (the main man is Luis Vasquez, but he brings some guys on the road) is a heavy, sludgy and psych-y band that will noisily lead you toward the darkness. And you're going to like it. You might even love it.

Live, The Soft Moon are loud. Really loud. And they've got all these intense visuals swirling around all the noise too. It's a sensory trip. I'm not sure if it's a good trip or a bad trip (what if it NEVER ENDS AND I'M STUCK IN THIS VENUE FOREVER??!?!) but it's definitely a trip.

The Soft Moon are one of those bands you just have to see to know what they're all about (bring earplugs unless you're some kind of monster). But they do have a new (and very well received) EP out on the exceptional Captured Tracks (DIIV, Wild Nothing, Widowspeak and, well, you know) that you can listen to. Anyway, this band rules. Just thought you should know.
