((Froth)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Written by Patrick McNamara

Froth is four dudes from Los Angeles that play fuzzy laid-back psych pop that sometimes punks out. It's good haze gaze for all kinds of days. The pretty days. The cloudy days. Beach days. Goth days. Heavy days. Happy days. These days are ours. Happy and free. These days are ours. Share them with me.

Since forming circa 2012 the band has put out a choice selection of songs (you can listen to them here) and most recently released their full-length “Bleak" for Burger Records (label home to, well, almost everybody….at least that's the way it seems). It's a good record and I will provide the full stream of it directly below these words because I'm such a sweet guy and I'm always doing nice things like that.

As of this writing (9:50 AM in the Year That I'm Writing This A.D.) Froth is on tour with The Drums. So can you reasonably assume if you like The Drums you will also like Froth? You cannot. This is a different thing. They're both based in LA now, though, so…. there's that. However, if you really want a band comparison to help wrap your mind around Froth, they did play last year with King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. Maybe that helps? I don't know. I just blob here.

Alright. Enough words. Have fun streaming “Bleak." Despite its title it's not a total bummer.
