Swamp Dogg has been a fearless force in underground, psychedelic r&b/funk since his debut in 1970, but his recent collaborations with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon have recontextualized his music for a new generation. On his career-redefining "Love, Loss and Auto-Tune," he embraces the titular vocal processing software to warp his voice and add new textures of delicious strangeness. He headlines the Ruins at Knockdown Center, presented by New York Night Train, with Eli "Paperboy" Reed and Jonathan Toubin.
