Powerhouse: International, a new arts festival at Powerhouse Arts in Gowanus, is popping off this Nov/Dec with Pussy Riot, claire rousay, Moor Mother, Kara Jackson, Bloomsday and lots more excellent artists playing.

Hayley Williams (of Paramore) is playing three (3) solo shows at Hammerstein Ballroom next spring with Water From Your Eyes. Miss 'em and weep through the inevitable hard times.

Beloved NYC indie popsters We Are Scientists will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album With Love and Squalor at Bowery Ballroom in January. Keep calm in the mosh pit. Nobody move, nobody get hurt.

Speaking of excellent indie popsters, Scotland's Camera Obscura (born: 1996) are coming to White Eagle Hall in May. Dinnae be an eejit and miss it.

The Moldy Peaches are playing an acoustic set at Carnegie Hall next summer, just their third NYC show in the last 22 years. Should be tweerific.
