((What Made Milwaukee Famous)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

What Made Milwaukee Famous

What Made Milwaukee Famous is an indie-pop band from Austin armed with a clever name and cleverer choruses. The band has been compared to The Shins and The Wrens, with whom they share similar sing-a-long quirky anthems. The band's influences range from Brendan Benson to Grandaddy to Radiohead.

Vocalist Michael Kingcaid's strong tenor soars over tight riffs, snappy percussion and some scattered synths, making for an immediately accessible listen. These guys' sound comes complete with an upbeat bounce. You won't find anything "angular" here.
