((The Cloud Room)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

NYC's The Cloud Room play irresistible synth-pop with an arsenal of seemingly endless "summer" songs. Dynamic front man J. (you better be dynamic if you go by an initial) croons vocals, dream-style, over sound walls of riffs, swirls and electric piano euphoria. J.'s vocals have been compared to everyone from Lou Reed and David Bowie to a more optimistic Paul Banks. The band's "dark dance" sounds also gets the inevitable Joy Division and New Order nods. But really, The Cloud Room are just a catchy indie pop band that are a tremendously easy listen.
