((RLYR)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Written by Patrick McNamara

RLYR (you can say “Relayer" if you want) is a heavy instrumental trio with super pretty melodies from Chicago. Not only do they RULE, but their dramatic post ____ anthems just might lead you through the darkness and into the light.

The band = Trevor Shelley De Brauw (of Pelican) [please note: I'm writing this really great band profile directly below my framed Pelican poster this is 100% true #behindthemusicblob] + Steven Hess (of Locrian) + Colin DeKuiper (of Bloodiest & and formerly of Russian Circles). In other words, THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING.

*as of this writing (10:16am in the Year That I'm Writing This A.D.) RLYR are touring with United Nations and you should totally go see them

RLYR (again, call 'em “Relayer" it's just easier) will release their debut album “Delayer" for the always excellent Magic Bullet Records VERY soon (please note: June 17, 2016 A.D. may already be in the past, depending on when you're reading this) and I would like you to listen to a really good song (File Under: Euphoric Anthem) from it right now. It's called “Slipstream Summer" and it's 6 minutes 23 seconds of SICKNESS. It'll pump you up.

Think heavy.

But pretty, man.

Turn it up.

Works best if you blast it.

And remember....

Darkness < Light
