In anticipation of Monkey: Journey to the West's New York debut this July, Lincoln Center Festival will play host to a conversation between Gorillaz co-creator and Monkey: Journey to the West visual artist Jamie Hewlett and New York Times journalist Dave Itzkoff. The conversation will be preceded by a screening of Hewlett's short film Monkey Bee, and followed by a screening of Monkey, the 1970s cult Japanese television series that helped inspire Damon Albarn and Hewlett to create Monkey: Journey to the West. Lincoln Center’s David Rubenstein Atrium is located on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets. This program is free and open to the public. No ticket required. Seating is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
