It's amazing that El Ten Eleven is only comprised of two dudes (albeit, an incredibly talented pair). This completely captivating band has a sound that's just BIG. Using primarily bass (that's a total rocker double-neck bass, thank you very much!), drums and a whole slew of pedals and effects technology, Kristian Dunn (bass god) and Tim Fogarty (acoustic/electric drum god) create ethereal instrumental that incorporates both dreamy, atmospheric melodies and semi-ferocious rock-outs.

Call it post-rock if you want, just don't call it boring, because it's whatever the opposite of boring is (where's the damn thesaurus function on this thing!). Some names thrown around when speaking and writing of El Ten Eleven include Tortoise and Kraftwerk and Sigur Ros and Godspeed. Fair enough, I guess.

But all you really need to know is that with El Ten Eleven there is no singing and the music made is all very pretty. See them live. They do crazy things ten musicians couldn't do, I tell you.
