Metal Hearts are mellow - Oh My Rockness

Band We Like
February 01, 2006
Baltimore's Metal Hearts are two teenagers making angular, down-tempo bedroom rock with influences from bands like Arab Strap, Cat Power, and Modest Mouse at their most mellow. These guys play around with a folk guitar, synthesizer, a drum machine, and the occasional jazzy horn solo, to accompany their lyrics about being young and in love. The sound is decidedly stripped-down, with nary a distortion to be heard.

Metal Hearts have recently signed to the stellar label, Suicide Squeeze (Pedro the Lion, Hella, Crystal Skulls) and are hitting the road hardcore in support of their debut album, Socialize.

Metal Hearts play Knitting Factory, Wednesday, February 8th.
