DOM is a band from Worcester, MA who says on their MySpace page that they sound like "shit." But yoinks, joke's on us, because they actually wrote that on opposite day! What other explanation could there be?

What they really meant, if it wasn't opposite day, was they sound like "RULE!" After all, only the most gullible would ever think breezy synth-y shoegaze with mellow harmonies and just the right amount of non-annoying lo-fi could sound like "shit." DOM is meant for soaking up the rays on summer days, man! Not for poopin'!

You know, I might rip off the top of my pimped out Toyota Corolla just so I can drive around and listen to this in a convertible (not like my Toyota will mind me mauling it, the accelerator is broke anyway... ba-dum-dum!). This is convertible-core.

DOM doesn't just remind me of blissful driving though. They also have this one song "Z" that reminds me of the rain forest room at the zoo. You know, you step in from a cold, sterile urban grey concrete lobby into that wonderfully humid and green space with monkeys and birds jumping around on tropical trees and it's awesome?

Yeah, DOM would be a good band to listen to when you go into the rain forest room at the zoo. DOM doesn't sound like "shit," though. Not even monkey "shit."
