2. The Black Lips play Webster Hall on Friday, May 5th.

Atlanta's The Black Lips consistently blast one of the best live shows in the live music game.

Few bands do grimy garage better.

3. Slowdive play Brooklyn Steel on Monday, May 8th / Tuesday, May 9th.

"Slowdive! Take it easy!" - song from Foghat's shoegaze album.

The legendary lush 'n dreamy band from Berkshire (born-on-date: 1989) is releasing their first new album in 22 years.

5. Father John Misty play Kings Theatre on Wednesday, May 10th and Brooklyn Steel on Thursday, May 11th / Friday, May 12th

6. Wavves play Bowery Ballroom on Friday, May 12th / Sunday, May 14th.

If you havven't punked out at a Wavves show in a bit you'vve got two chances to fix that wrong right quick because this vvery good band plays two nights at Bowery Ballroom.

Post Animal opens. You know who's in that band? "Steve" from Stranger Things aka the new Ferris Bueller.

Matthew Broderick should do a Papa John's commercial and be like "I'm the real Ferris Bueller just like Papa John's is the realest pizza."

7. The Feelies play Rough Trade on Friday, May 12th / Saturday, May 13th / Sunday, May 14th.

The Feelies have crazy rhythms.

They're also the band in this clip from Something Wild.

*a good Jonathan Demme (RIP) movie released in 1986, just 42 short years after The Feelies first formed

8. Buffalo Tom play Bowery Balloom on Saturday, May 13th.

Buffalo Tom celebrate the 25 year birthday of their best album.

If you somehow missed out on this band's goodness over the last few decades, the song below will get you caught up in a real hurry.

Midnight Oil's first NYC shows in a million years!

The legendary Australian band (born-on-date: the '70s) can rock easy knowing their fans on the other side of the world haven't forgotten them because both of these shows at Webster Hall sold-out super fast, so I hope for your sake you already have your tickets or you have the disposable probably income required to get tickets here or you don't care. Just please be happy!

Also, it would be pretty hard to sleep when your bed was burning. I don't know how people could do it.

10. The Jesus & Mary Chain play Brooklyn Steel on Sunday, May 14th.

A loud band from Scotland.
