Happy Birthday, America!
I didn't know what to get you this year so I got you this really great feature.
Please allow this blob a few moments of your procrastination time to break down for you all the good shows happening this 4th of July weekend.
I won't let you down. So help me blob.

The Stone Roses play Madison Square Garden. This album's a classic - is also good.
Black Mountain plays Bowery Ballroom. They are good.
Who gives a shit.
Here's old Weezer.
Soul Asylum play Irving Plaza. This song "Cartoon" is good. "Runaway Train" is not.
Friday - July 1, 2016 A.D.
Beverly plays Rough Trade. They are a good band.
Dead Stars play Sunnyvale. Good band.

Twin Shadow DJs the roller rink in Prospect Park. He is good.
Wild Nothing and Porches play a free show at South Street Seaport. Tatum and Maine are good.
Other Sunday shows = Silent Majority at Saint Vitus
Monday - July 4, 2016 A.D.
Woods lead a solid free lineup at South Street Seaport. They are good.
It's SUMMERJAM VIII at Shea Stadium. That's a good venue.
The Beach Boys (minus "the" Beach Boy, Brian Wilson) play Coney Island. I don't know.
Those are the good shows in NYC this (long)(celebratory) weekend.
Have fun! Don't blow off any fingers! You might need them someday!
(peace out with this vintage train wreck Stone Roses performance and be sure to wait for the 1:27 mark)
