Monday - April 18, 2016 A.D.

There's a big time Bernie Sanders Rally (vote on Tuesday, yo) at Hunter's Point South Park in Long Island City. Bernie will be there (as will Danny “I'm Getting Too Old For This Shit" Glover and Fisher “Johnny #5 Alive" Stevens, for some reason) and the mighty TV on the Radio will perform. Free for you and several thousand of your friends.

Solid post ____ pop _____ punk lineup all around at Market Hotel tonight w/ Citizen, Turnover, Sorority Noise and Milk Teeth. I'm pretty sure I talked about these good bands last week on this thing so the 13 of you who read it can just tune me out for the next 5 seconds….as for the rest of you....these bands are good and you should totally go see them....the end.

I sweat this song so much.

The Mountain Goats play City Winery (tomorrow too). Did you know John Darnielle and his crew has released fifteen studio albums since 19-Naughty-4? If you don't believe me, that's fine, it's Wikipedia you're offending, not me. I think I posted this same old MG song last week but it's a really good same old song so I'm going to post it again also there are no rules here and this is my music blob and I can do what I want.

If you like the post ____ emo (I do) there is no place better to be tonight than Irving Plaza for Into It. Over It + The World Is A Beautiful Place & I'm No Longer Afraid To Die + The Sidekicks + Pinegrove. I like all four of those bands and will be at this show for sure. Come hang out with me.

The mighty Speedy Ortiz is the musical guest at Griff and Joe's Earth Day Earthtacular comedy show at Union Hall in Park Slope and tickets are only $8. I recommend the band specifically but I'm sure the jokes will be pretty chill 2!

If you want to see four up-and-coming DIY punks in one chill DIY setting might I be so bold as to suggest going to see WALL + Patio + Fern Mayo + Spit at Palisades? You won't want to leave after a few songs. So help me blob.

There's a benefit for Planned Parenthood tonight at Cake Shop led by TEEN + Fake Boyfriend + Annie Hart of Au Revoir Simone (there's no basement in the Alamo tho) + more tba! Consider going to see good music while supporting a super dope cause.

Rising up-and-coming buzzy singer/songwriter Bruce Springsteen (he hails from….hang on let me check this press release…ahh there it is….New Jersey) plays DIY co-op art space Barclays Center tonight. Should be pretty BOSS!
