((Tobacco)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Beware. A beat beast lurks somewhere in rural Pennsylvania. But you probably already know of whom I speak (how many of them are there out there in rural PA?). Black Moth Super Rainbow's beat king, Tobacco, has stepped out solo. And let me tell you, his crazy distorted technology tricks sound just as good even when he's at it all alone.

Call Tobacco's solo concoctions analog synth-hop if you might. His electro bangs will make your mundane days just a bit more rocking and just a bit creepier. There's something about the lo-fi techno Tobacco listening experience that sounds like you're trapped in a haunted (disco) house that's too compelling to leave.

The music isn't straightforward enough to be labeled as simply hip-hop, and it's slightly too demented to be dance music. This music is just... Tobacco. Live, he incorporates crazy lights and projection that makes the show a full-on sensory experience. Tobacco's debut Fucked Up Friends is out now on Anticon.
