((Oliver Future)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

The easy-to-sing-along-to indie pop of young Oliver Future only seems to generate British band comparisons; from the contemporary (Radiohead, Blur) to the legendary (David Bowie, The Beatles). But these five guys are from L.A. (by way of Austin), not the U.K. I guess there's just something about sunshine melodies that make people think it can only come from the grey skies of England.

This is a guitar band that rounds out their sound with harmonious horns and bouncy keys. Singer Noah Lit croons with that sliding emotional range that sometimes sounds like Zach Condon of Beirut meets Nathan Willett of Cold War Kids.

Oliver Future's debut record, Pax Futura, was produced by Adam Lasus (the guy slightly famous for doing the first Clap Your Hands Say Yeah album).
