((Klaxons)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

The up-and-coming East London trio Klaxons play energetic and sweaty synth rock that bombard your senses with schizophrenic dance beats. The three guys incorporate vocal shrieks, big bass guitar solos and even siren sound effects to entice the listener to move with furious intent.

They remind me of similarly young bouncing bands like Professor Murder, Foreign Islands and Tokyo Police Club, but sung in a British accent of course (the New York Times thinks they sound like Test Icicles). The band has recently signed to Modular (Wolfmother, Soulwax, Van She) and just wrapped up their first go-around of show dates in the States, but they will be back for sure.
