((Enon)) Band Profile and Upcoming New York City Concerts - Oh My Rockness

ENON photographed by JONOTHAN PURVIS
Enon was formed by John Schemersal, the former guitarist of the legendary band Braniac. He gathered a couple friends, moved to NYC from Kentucky, and Enon's off-kilter pop sensibilities took off. Don't try to figure this band out, because you can't. From one song to the next, Enon are completely unpredictable.

Enon take cues from such disparate groups as Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, and the Elephant 6 Collective. They live in a bizzaro world of banging, overdubs, and eclectic homemade instruments that create the most distorted distortion. Throw in some dance hooks and you have one crazy, catchy collaboration. You're not necessarily sure what they'll do next, but you can be sure they'll fuck some shit up and make it sound cool.
