Young Magic is Isaac Emmanuel. Originally from Australia, he now lives in NYC. Relying on his trusty laptop and his dependable pipes, Young Magic creates soulful electro-pop that's heavy on the booms and world-y sounding swirls.

This guy has traveled and lived all over the globe and you can definitely hear the music of faraway lands in Young Magic's songs. He's also stated that he finds lots of musical inspiration in the '60s psychedelic scene. So there's that at play here too.

There's a kind of haunting vibe in Young Magic's music. But it's haunting in an accessible way, you know? Maybe it gives off a haunting vibe because it's so percussive. Percussion is haunting, right? Or maybe it's the synths that sound like they want to reach in and tear my spleen out. A machine tearing your spleen out is haunting, right?

Young Magic has their debut record coming out on Carpark (Panda Bear, Adventure, Beach House, Toro y Moi).
