Ida
WEBSITE FOR IDA
|
What happens when a punk guy and Lisa Loeb's music partner team up? They form Ida and then get married. Perhaps Daniel Littleton and Elizabeth Mitchell fell for each other after hearing how perfectly harmonious their voices sounded together. This surely is the main reason there are so many hardcore Ida fans.
One of the most popular indie folk-pop bands of the 90's, Ida rely on the strength of their songwriting and hushed melodies to create rich, textured, acoustic music that can either invigorate you or lull you to sleep (depending on your personality). They are at their best when they are at their most basic: a guitar and the voices of two people in love. I'm still not sure if Ida are superficial or brilliant, but all those Ida fans can't be wrong. Can they? |
